Chaska Fire & Ice Festival 2026 — Everything You Need to Know

The Chaska Fire & Ice Festival turns 10 this year — and that milestone deserves a little more than a line on a community calendar. If you've never been, this is the one to finally make it to. If you've been going for years, 2026 is the 10th anniversary edition, and the city has been building toward it.

Two days. Free admission. Fireworks both nights. Firemen's Park is one of the best outdoor event venues in Carver County — curving boardwalk, splash pad, beach, paddle boats — and the festival does a genuinely good job of filling it with things worth doing. Here's the full picture for July 10–11.

The Basics

10th anniversary: The 2026 Fire & Ice Festival is the 10th year of Chaska's premier summer event. The city's Parks and Recreation department has been building this event since 2017 — what started as a community gathering has grown into one of the signature summer events in the western suburbs. Two nights of fireworks, a full weekend of programming, and a curling bonspiel that draws teams from across the region.

The Curling Bonspiel

The "Ice" in Fire & Ice is the Chaska Curling and Event Center next door — one of the finest curling facilities in the country. The bonspiel draws competitive and recreational teams from across the region and runs Thursday through Sunday, overlapping with the festival weekend. You don't need to understand curling to enjoy watching it, and the Curling Center is worth a look if you've never been inside. The bonspiel schedule is posted at the Curling Center.

Sensory-Friendly Space

The city provides a designated sensory-friendly zone at the festival for families who need a quieter option. If you have children or family members who benefit from lower-stimulation spaces, this is a genuine amenity worth knowing about — particularly on Saturday when the kids' programming is running at full volume.
